Kathryn Rice, the founder and CEO of Echelon Transfer Pricing Solutions, brings more than two decades of dedicated transfer pricing expertise to U.S. and foreign-based multinational and multi-jurisdictional businesses helping them to comply with applicable transfer pricing regulations.

Through Echelon, Kathryn aims to combat the commoditization of transfer pricing services and serve a diverse array of companies: whether small or large, start-ups or long-established, U.S.- or foreign-based, even high-net-worth individuals invested in legal entities with multi-jurisdictional attributes offering comprehensive, customized solutions based on their business needs. Kathryn’s transfer pricing expertise spans a wide variety of industries, such as automotive, chemical, and industrial products, construction, consumer/luxury goods, financial services, healthcare, hospitality, professional services, real estate, technology, and telecommunications.

Her transfer pricing experience is also deep and broad, covering all aspects of the discipline (planning, compliance, implementation, disputes); her specialties include global documentation studies, planning and design, Advance Pricing Agreements, FIN 48 reviews, audit defense, state transfer pricing, headquarter cost allocation, and cost- sharing.

Prior to launching Echelon, Kathryn was a Transfer Pricing/International Tax Director and served as Practice Leader for a national transfer pricing practice where she worked with clients domestically and globally. She has also worked in transfer pricing at Big 4 and other top 10 firms. Kathryn’s experience also includes time in Washington, D.C., where she focused on audit defense and other transfer pricing controversy.

Kathryn is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and a past member of their International Taxation Technical Resource Panel, which monitors legislative and regulatory developments relating to significant international tax issues, including cross-border tax planning. She is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois State Society of Certified Public Accountants and is a Certified Public Accountant actively licensed in New York, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.
